Description

Holistic Holidays is more than just a yoga holiday, health farm, singles holiday, relaxation holiday or activity holiday. We are a different small scale exclusive retreat, set in a botanical garden with ocean views. Established for eight years, we have evolved a popular programme of therapies which we call the HO2 Formula. Returning guests see us as a home from home in a warm climate without children and a supportive environment to recover from stress, illness, city life, emotional upheaval or addiction. It’s the perfect Place to Be.

At Holistic Holidays we teach relaxation techniques based on safe, gentle yoga suitable for all standards,  including yoga for beginners or those who would benefit from the personal attention of a small class.
 
Holistic Holidays are one of the original yoga holiday companies and we are still unique in what we do.

 - We have excellent teaching. Lynne Oliver our Director of yoga has over thirty years experience.  Her yoga teaching is based on a wide understanding of yoga theory, anatomy plus life substantial experience in physical emotional and mental issues.  Lynne updates her knowledge by regular attendance of Conventions, mainly in the USA where understanding and practice development is at the cutting edge in the West.

 - We use yoga as a basis for our holistic holidays and add a range of other therapies in a nurturing environment.

 - Our exclusive Villa Isis accepts a maximum of 10 people so classes are by definition small

 - We specialise in beginners but cater for all standards

 - Our yoga is safe gentle, based on breath and awareness. We do not do Astanga Yoga.

 - While generally we can help all ages, we do not accept children under 16 at our adult retreat.

 - We help a lot of guests recovering from stressful situations and life threatening illnesses. We can advise you personally on the suitability for your situation

 - Help is available on which therapies are suitable for you and your situation.

 - We have a summer all year climate

 - Our air is clean and unpolluted ideal for a breath based holiday.

 - Our holidays continue throughout most weeks of the year

 - You can fly to Lanzarote from most UK and many European airports by Charter and Scheduled flight services.  These are direct flights, under 4 hours on average.  We are only 10 minutes from the airport (yet no noise)

 - Yoga Breaks, Long weekends and Minibreaks

Through the power of the breath we come to experience a greater understanding of ourselves giving us access and the ability to deal with fears, insecurities, anxieties and life's stresses, often manifesting themselves in indefinable "aches" and "pains". At our yoga holiday retreat, using the breath in conjunction with the "postures" we are actually able to change the chemistry of the body, increasing efficiency of the vital organs involved in elimination: improve our strength , flexibility, posture , and often persistent back problems, ultimately regenerating a healthier spine, so vital to us all. “This brings about a feeling of confidence and well-being that will definitely surprise you!”

It is very important to be flexible and adaptable when teaching a class of people, as it’s not always possible to assess their needs straight away. For instance (Astanga) Ashtanga Yoga is very popular at the moment but it may be unsuitable for the less fit.

The Place
If you have been to Lanzarote before, you will know about the Volcanic archipelago, Lanzarote’s rare biosphere status, it’s summer all year weather and the cultural and ecological heritage based on the work of artist/architect Cesar Manrique.

The Villa
A short drive from the airport, this sumptuous villa was lovingly customised by Lynne and Stuart for Holistic Holidays at your nearest desert island. In a quiet setting on the edge of an interesting village, Villa Isis has panoramic views beyond its own botanic garden and state of the art chlorine free pool. It has quiet niches, grass circles and yoga space and terraces for personal chill space as well as spacious public areas.
