Description

Spanish & Salsa Course (20 + 5 lessons per week), Barcelona, Spain.  With Barcelona being the Salsa capital of Spain, what better place to strut your stuff and learn the moves in both Spanish and Salsa!

We have created the perfect program designed to combine the General Course of 20 lessons per week with 5 hours of Salsa lessons and a full programme for the week, guided by your very own professional teacher and Salsa expert.

The course is for 1 week starting once per month and is open to all levels of Spanish and Salsa. The Salsa teacher, Veronica, also speaks English so there would be no problem for beginners in Spanish to attend.

The programme for the week looks like this:

Sunday: Arrival to Barcelona. Welcome from Veronica and evening at the Antilla Salsa club to warm up.

Monday: 4 Spanish lessons. 2 hours of Salsa intruction. Salsa practice in the evening at the Mojito Salsa club.

Tuesday: 4 Spanish lessons. Free evening time.*

Wednesday: 4 Spanish lessons. 1.5 hours of Salsa instruction. Salsa practice in the evening at Habana Barcelona.

Thursday: 4 Spanish lessons. Free evening time.*

Friday: 4 Spanish lessons. 1.5 hours of Salsa instruction. Farewell tapas followed by more Salsa practice at one of the salsa clubs!

*Tue & Thu evening - Veronica can recommend more "Salsatecas" for those students with enough energy to go out!

Please note: A minimum number of 3 students is required for the Salsa part of the course. If there are not enough students for the Salsa, the Spanish lessons will still take place and you will be reimbursed for the Salsa part of the course.

The School   
This small and friendly school is centrally located in downtown Barcelona in a quiet street in the Eixample area. The school features spacious classrooms, a large common room and a beautiful big terrace. High ceilings, French windows and original mosaic floors provide an unforgettable ambiance. The maximum number of students per class is limited to 8 which provides a stimulating and highly interactive learning environment. Outside of the classroom, a student service desk is there to help you with any questions you may have regarding your stay. The size and setup of the school make it really easy to meet new friends and feel at home straight away. Every Wednesday the school organises a night out in town for some tapas and wine. Students have free access to the internet, the DVD and book library and culture classes.

Best Time to Go - Barcelona enjoys a wonderful climate with hot summers and cool winters. The ideal months to visit the city, the Costa Brava, and the nearby resorts of Sitiges and Vilanova are May, June and September, when visitors can expect good weather. In August, despite the shade in the tree lined boulevards, locals desert Barcelona for the coastal resorts to escape the heat. January is the coldest month, with top temperatures averaging 13°C (55°F), while August is the hottest, with an average high of 29°C (82°F).
