Wine Tasting Short Break at Hotel Ritz, Madrid, Spain.  In collaboration with Bodegas Qubél (Madrid), Hotel Ritz are pleased to offer a 3 day programme for the discovery, education and enjoyment of the senses through glorious wines and cuisine, set in the superb city of Madrid.

Our wine tasting programme includes:

 - 2 nights accommodation in a Classic Room
 - Airport Transfers in a private limousine with chauffeur
 - A bottle of cava on ice in your room 
 - Welcome Ritz amenities
 - Delicious daily buffet breakfast in the Goya Restaurant
 - Transfer in private limousine to Bodegas Qubél Winery, of ecological agriculture,(www.qubel.com)
 - Guided visit of two and a half hours including a personal welcome to the winery and vineyard
 - Tasting of three fabulous wines followed by a Tapas degustation
 - One selected three-course dinner (beverages not included) in the Goya Restaurant, where our Sommelier will be delighted to solve any question regarding the world of Spanish wines.

Optional:

We are also happy to offer optional organised visits to other well-known bodegas (Marqués de Riscal –La Rioja- or Ribera del Duero, Somontano, etc). This is subject to an additional supplement and availability.

Important - For availability reasons and once booked, we recommend you contact the concierge (concierge@ritz.es) in order to arrange the visit with Qubél Winery. 72 hours notice is required in order to arrange visits to the wineries. Cancellation policy is 48 hours in advance.

LOCATION

The hotel's location alone constitutes a luxury. The Hotel Ritz is situated between the beautiful Retiro Park, the elegant Teatro de la Zarzuela, and Madrid's most important museums: the Prado, the Thyssen Bornemisza and the Centro de Arte Moderno Reina Sofia.  The hotel is within walking distance from the financial district and Madrid's Stock Exchange.

HISTORY
Inspired by King Alfonso XIII’s desire to build a luxury hotel to rival the Ritz in Paris, the Hotel Ritz in Madrid shares with the Ritz hotels in Paris and London a reputation as one of the original grand luxury hotels in Europe. The Hotel Ritz opened its doors in 1910 in the presence of His Majesty King Alfonso XIII. The hotel was designed and built under the personal supervision of the legendary hotelier Cesar Ritz, from whom the name was adopted. The Ritz has played a crucial role in the life of Madrid for over a century. Still today, the hotel remains a key attraction for many to this European capital.

ACCOMMODATION
THe Ritz Madrid offers Classic and Deluxe rooms, as well as Junior suites, Deluxe suite and one Royal suite.

The hotel Wellness Centre, located on the mezzanine level, is equipped with treadmills, step machines, rowing machines, static bicycles, free weights, weight training equipment, satellite television, radio and daily newspapers.

Access to the sauna is complimentary for guests. Massages, sunbed and facials can also be enjoyed at an additional charge.

RESTAURANTS & BARS
The highly acclaimed Goya Restaurant offers a wide selection of Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine. A place to see and to be seen in a relaxed and elegant atmosphere.

Every Sunday, between the 13:30 and 15:30 enjoy our famous Sunday Brunch

In Spring and Summer the Terrace and Gardens of the Hotel Ritz are the perfect  meeting place in Madrid for a delightful al fresco lunch or dinner, or to sample traditional Spanish tapas. What could be more enjoyable than traditional afternoon tea or light refreshments served in the majestic hotel lobby in the early evening. Tea is served between 16:30 and 19:00

The Velasquez bar is a popular rendezvous for those guests who wish to enjoy original cocktails in a relaxed and charming atmosphere.
