Triathlon is now one of the fastest growing sports in the UK as it's easily accessible, hugely rewarding and great fun! Competitors begin with a swim, before a ‘transition’ sees them climbing aboard bikes for the second leg of their race. Then, in a second transition, triathletes don their running shoes for the final stage of the triathlon.

The camp week is aimed at all levels of ability, whether you're training for the triathlon season, looking at breaking into the sport or simply want to take part in a fun event in the outdoors!

The week-long training camp has been developed to provide first class training facilities in stunning surroundings with a programme of activities which spells utter bliss for partners and families.

Uniquely, Neilson’s hosting of the event at their Beachplus Club allows less active partners and families to accompany triathletes, relaxing in the beautiful backdrop of Greece’s Ionian coast. Days are split between optional training sessions and the freedom to enjoy Neilson’s Beachplus formula - activities ranging from wakeboarding to tennis, windsurfing to fitness, all included in the holiday at no extra charge.

The camp provides individuals from all levels the opportunity to train like a world class athlete. adidas eyewear have organised an intensive training programme run by elite triathlete Richard Allen with a sports masseur and bike mechanic on hand. The week finishes with a fun race hosted by the local town.

For the Triathlete:
• An excellent week-long training programme designed by top UK elite triathlete Richard Allen, suitable for both newcomers and experienced triathletes. Sessions focus on running, swimming, cycling, equipment choice, preparation, diet and the all-important transitions.

• A first rate support team including coaches, a masseur and a mechanic

• The option to reserve the use of a high quality road bike for your week

• Personal time with your partner or family to either relax or try sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, tennis, fitness or mountain biking

• An end-of-week triathlon race, hosted by the town.

Lesvos
Lesvos is in Greece's northern Aegean Sea, overlooking the Turkish coastline. The Aeolian village has been built in typical Aegean style, with extensive grounds that give the hotel a wonderful feeling of space. Situated at one end of a beautiful bay on a long stretch of fine golden sand. The charming village of Skala Eressos is a ten minute walk along the beach with quaint cafes, restaurants and bars built on bamboo-covered decks extending out over the sand on stilts - the perfect place to enjoy some traditional Greek hospitality.

Sivota
Located in a corner of rare natural beauty with tiny coves, green hills and deserted beaches, the aptly named Retreat offers an idyllic haven from hextic modern life.

Around a ten minute walk from the bustling harbour of Sivota, The Retreat clings to the side of a tree-covered coastal hillside. Its various buildings are linked by numerous steps and paths leading down to the shores of the Ionian Sea. A collection of beaches forms the edge of our watersports area and a shallow sand bar makes it possible to wade across to the tiny uninhabited island of Mourtemeno.

Throughout the hotel grounds great attention has been paid to landscaping with an abundance of flowers and trees adding to the natural beauty of the setting.

About Neilson
We've been around for around 25 years. We started as two separate companies, one providing top-end ski holidays and the other taking people sailing in Greece. For around two decades we became better and better at putting together holidays, one company doing fun things in the snow, the other having adventures in the Med. Then, in 1999, Thomas Cook, who owned both companies, decided that it would make sense for us to join together. That was when the famous orange logo appeared, and Neilson as we know it came into existence.
