Diving Holiday at Negril Beach, Jamaica.  Beaches includes the most comprehensive resort scuba diving program anywhere in the Caribbean. And even if you've never dived before, our resort course (US$70) will have you experiencing a whole new underwater world by the very next day.

If you're already a certified scuba enthusiast, you can enjoy up to two dives daily. We feature top-of-the-line, purpose built boats and our scuba staff are fully PADI certified.

Everybody Dives - At Beaches, guests who are not certified or have never experienced scuba diving before can attend a resort course (extra cost) and become "Resort Certified."

Dives from Negril include:

Middle Shoal Reef (Depth: 30 ft.) - One of the most frequently visited 30' dive sites. Used mainly for our PADI introductory (Resort) Scuba Course dive #1. Nice coral reef to 30' sand bed. Very large aggregation of French grunts at cleaning stations on coral heads. Squirrel fish aggregations at other cleaning sites. Turtles often seen on the edge of a sand bed. Many blue chromis, creole wrans, parrots, etc.

Bloody Bay (Depth: 30 ft.) - Another dive site used for our Resort's course divers on training dive #1. The healthy coral heads rise as far as 20' from the bottom of Bloody Bay. Some extremely large spiny puffers! occasional sea horse.

Middle Shoal Reef (Depth: 90 ft.) - There is a small single engine plane located at this site at a depth of 90'. This dive is known for spade fish and barracuda. Beautiful coral, barrel, sponge, gorgonialns, etc. Further out there is drop off to 200'.

Ballards Reef (Depth: 90 ft.) - This outer reef is hard to find but well worth it. The reef is relatively untouched. Large kingfish and the occasional jew fish can be found. The outside of the reef drops off to the deep.

Gallery (Depth: 30 ft.) - Interesting overhangs and ledges. Lots of places to explore. Large crabs, turtles, nurse sharks, sting rays, morays, black coral and the occasional Sea Horse are often seen here.

Shallow Plane (Depth: 55 ft.) - Located south of the edge of the reef, on sand. Soldier fish hand out at the plane. A long snout butterfly fish has come up from the depths to make the back seat of the plane its home. The reef itself if full of overhangs, ledges, caverns, sponges, seaferns and coral. Sting Rays are very common here.
