It boasts a wealth of magnificent golf courses which will provide you with an enjoyable golf break full of varied and challenging golf. The golf courses will entertain you as much as the notorious Blackpool Pleasure Beach with their carefully crafted layouts, some of which hug the coastline, where others use the undulating landscape to test golfers of all handicaps.

Where you can play

Blackpool North Shore Golf Course
Just 500 yards from the North Promenade, this links course is relatively flat compared to most as it uses natures elements to make the rolling fairways and large greens testing to all handicappers.

Knott End Golf Course
You'll need to be confident with the driver on the first five holes of this course, as it runs alongside the River Wyre and when the tide is up anything sliced will come to a watery end.

St Anne's Old Links
A beautiful seaside links course that will test all golfers and has even been used as an Open Championship qualifying course. Set amongst the sand dunes, wind will be your main adversary, as it can change direction from tee to tee.

Lytham Green Drive Golf Club
Lytham Green Drive is a pleasant tree lined course, which although within a mile of the Irish Sea still retains its parkland characteristics.

De Vere Herons Reach
De Vere Herons Reach Golf Club has an 18 hole, par 72 parkland course in beautiful surroundings. Opened in 1994 it has hosted many senior tournaments and is an enjoyable round of golf for all levels of golfer.

Royal Lytham and St Annes Golf Club
Quite simply a stunning golf course. A true classic links, it is not the longest course, but it will test every aspect of your game.

Accommodation
There are some excellent hotels to stay in while on your golf tour in Blackpool such as The Lindum Hotel 3*, in nearby St Annes, which is one of the North West’s most popular seaside hotels.
 

Blackpool provides the perfect setting for a golf tour with its host of renowned seaside attractions including the famous Promenade, Pleasure Beach and lively nightlife. So if you are looking for a golf break away that is action packed then Blackpool is the place to be.
