Two days and two nights for a restorative plunge into one of the most ancient Indian disciplines of holistic wellness.

You will find Ayurveda and aromatherapy, the calm of yoga and the energy of Pilates, massage, and walks in the open air … The most efficiacious methods of fitness and meditation, to cosset body and soul in a hidden oasis amid the green and blue of Portofino.

The wellness programmes are concentrated in April and October: the months of the year that open the seasons of life, perfect for those who wish to be in splendid form for the summer and ready to face the rigours of winter full of energy.  These two programmes will ensure that each Guest will enjoy a new beauty and an inner serenity reflected in every gesture.

Ayurvedic Immersion

Two days and two nights for a restorative plunge into one of the most ancient Indian disciplines of holistic wellness:

 - Full American breakfast daily
 - A basket of fruit, and flowers in your room
 - Yoga class every morning  (about 45 mins)
 - One lunch at the Splendido’s  “La Terrazza” restaurant
 - One Indian massage of the head and the marma points of the face (about 80 mins)
 - A two-hour excursion on Monte di Portofino, accompanied by a botanist guide
 - A shirodara treatment (about 50 mins). This is one of the most important Ayurvedic treatments: curative oil is poured over the level of the “third eye” (between the eyebrows), which has a beneficial effect on all problems of a mental nature such as anxiety and stress. The treatment begins with a foot-bath followed by a brief massage of the head and shoulders.

2008 Rates
 - Prices are for two persons in a double/single room, and include flowers, daily full American-style breakfast and all the benefits described in the above programme (10% VAT to be added on top):

- From 1 to 15th April and from 16th to 21st October 

- Double Room with seaview   € 1.790 (Approx £1,330)

LOCATION

Hotel Splendido
Set on a hillside in four acres of romantic tropical gardens with superb palm trees, the Hotel Splendido overlooks the bay of Portofino.

Splendido Mare
The Splendido Mare is situated in the heart of Portofino village with wonderful views of the harbour and the castle of San Giorgio. It shares most of the facilities of the Hotel Splendido.

TRANSFERS
Transfers are available on request to and from the airport and railway stations.

By Air - Genoa International Airport is approximately 37 kilometres from the hotels (45 minutes' drive).

By Train
From Milan via Genoa en-route to La Spezia or Rome
From Rome via Livorno en-route to Genoa or Milan
From Florence via Pisa en-route to Genoa or Turin
Alight at Rapallo (eight kilometres from the hotel) or Santa Margherita (five kilometres from the hotel)
Then take a taxi to the hotel

By Car - Motorway A12, exit Rapallo then take the road to Santa Margherita and Portofino (20 minutes' drive)

16 rooms including 7 doubles/twins, 7 junior suites and 2 suites all elegantly decorated and furnished. Most have balconies with superb views of Portofino's cove and the village.

The Pool Bar serves informal luncheons and drinks.
The Cocktail and Piano Bar is located close to La Terrazza.

Splendido Mare
The Chuflay Bar Restaurant, with indoor (seating 50) and alfresco (seating 40) on the terrace bordering the Piazzetta, with a continuous scheduled service from 7:00 am to midnight. Evening piano music until midnight.
