And of all of the types of dancing you can do, Irish dancing is right up amongst the best: there's a wonderful, joyous spirit that flows through it – as anybody who has been to a Ceili or watched Riverdance will readily agree.

Ceili dancing is Irish social dancing - the sort you may have seen in the movie 'Titanic'. Many dances involve a partner, or are in groups of up to eight. Some dances are in a large circle, some in lines with couples facing, some in groups of three or four.

Like English country dancing, the caller will take you through the steps before you start – and Alice will take you through several of the most popular.
