Learn to Jive - Holiday with Dance Classes - Warner Leisure Hotels.  Get with the Jive!  Ever since Jive exploded onto the British social scene it has held a fascination for us. The American GIs first brought their uninhibited variation of the Swing, Jitterbug and Lindy Hop here in the 1940s – to the considerable disapproval of the older generation at the time!

The Jive’s lively rhythm and free movements led directly into the Rock and Roll era, but although it may have then gone out of fashion for a few decades, Jive never went out of style: this is dance that’s hugely fun to perform and is now enjoying a huge revival – both in its original form and its later adaptation as a slightly more elegant ballroom Latin dance. If you’ve watched ‘Five Guys Named Moe’, you’ll know this is a dance that will never go away!

So why don’t you kick back the carpet, slip on your dancing shoes and join our experts as they teach you to take your first Jive steps with confidence within a friendly, supportive and relaxed atmosphere.

Our host's methods are proven to provide even complete beginners with the knowledge and confidence to take to the floor.

Teaching is undertaken over three two hour sessions within a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, developing achievable stages that build into a basic routine that can be easily repeated.

No lifts or acrobatics are needed – and you don’t have to be a GI or his girlfriend to dance it with aplomb the next time the music hits the turntable!
